i went to store this evening and i bought 1GB (had 1GB already) and now... wooooohhooo i can play lotro on ultra high (without lag, just in bree a little)
and on very high without any lag at all!!!!
I'm looking forward to release, please comment

Yes ( except Bree ) , with patching & there not being all the background programs that are bundled in the beta client , should only get better ( oh & yeah running 2 gig ram also )

When I first joined the BETA I had one gig and lag was horrid. I slapped in another gig and things improved dramaticly. My vid-card and processor are both slightly under recommended par, so, during BETA, I only played on med setting. Without the BETA programs running I hope to boost it higher.
Definitely go with 2 gigs of ram.

So I had 726 MB, and the wifey had 256. We tried to play together, but it was near impossible to get her to a playable state. So I took my machine apart, took out 256 and put it in hers. So now she has 512MB and I have 512MB. We've been trying since before Christmas to save up some money to get some more memory for one or both of us, but now I've accepted a non-paying internship this summer, which means not only can we not afford new memory, but we can't even actually afford the game until after this summer.

Your celebration will be very short if you decide to install the hires pack. 2Gb just won't cut it with the memory leak. High will be about the max. So if you like Ultra high, stick with the "normal resolution" pack; unless they resolve the texture memory leak. |

I have 2 GB of RAM but still get lag sometimes on the high setting. It is not as bad as it used to be. Having the overhead names turned off helps. I may need to upgrade my video card, but that won't happen anytime soon.
You hang in there Aquilla. One day you'll be able to afford an uber system.

yeah the video settings raent dependant on the ram alone. What vid card do you have if you can play on ultra high?

Oh my, I feel so bad for you Aquilla, I almost want to get 2gb from my work and mail it to you....but my wallet says "HELL NO!!!"...and well, my wallets right, cuz its empty!

Due 2nd April brand new PC with among other things 2Gb RAM and a geat video card.
Cant't wait. No doubt I will just finish setting it up and installing the latest client and all the updates for the weekend only to discover beta has ended. It will be a race against time.

well i have a great comp, but didn't want to pay 400 euro's for a descent vid card (read: very powerfull video card, which can play HD). i'll update a long the way i guess...

Is this not the time for somebody in this Kinship to say "Hey, dagnabbit! Aquilla has done all this for us on his own time and keeps it all going at his own expense - can those of us with a little spare cash and who appreciate what he has done to create and hold this together not dig into our deep pockets with our short arms and get a little cash together for him so he can at least have 2Gb RAM???"
I for one am happy to start the ball rolling with $25. Anybody want to match me? This is only for those of you with spare cash. If you do not have any spare cash then please keep silent as this is not an attempt to squeeze either cash or guilt out of anybody. It's just not right that the chief will not be online when the rest of us will.
